These kids were concepts for "Home Sweet Home" (animated beautifully in it's entirety by Jeff Astolfo I may add) in which Witchy is bombarded by pesky candy munching kids...and no one loves kids more than Witchy. She loves them stewed, barbecued, a la mode... Kids are a blast to draw...cute, ugly, and creepy all at the same time. We also wanted there to be a sense that these kids are filthy, reckless little vermin so that the audience would sympathize with Witchy.

Beautiful blog guys. I'm glad you decided to post this stuff as the behind the scenes work often looks better than the finished product. Thanks for the mention. One of the most fun projects I've had the pleasure of working on and is a shame nothing has happened with it(yet).

Funny how the simplest designs are often the most appealing. Great golden book feel to these, Mark!

Sorry things didnt work out better on the new project you're working on. Was really looking forward to working with you guys :(

Another time, I hope!!

Hey Mark,
These are really great. I tend to think your stuff works well becasue the drawings themselves are actually pretty funny. Top that cake off with "I'm a man" and it makes for one good cartoon show.
The three kids standing together are classic.

Amazing character designs and backgrounds. Lots of personality in all the work you've been putting up, and I hope this eventually takes off some day. Please keep posting more of this wonderfully fun stuff! Now if I can only get copies of the cartoons to watch...:)
